  • USF students want Busch Gardens to bring back their half-off, $50 discounted pass that is good for the academic year.
  • The theme park employs a number of students and has its own stop for the university’s free student buses, called “Bull Runners.”
  • For the past three years, BG Tampa has offered a discounted $50 pass to USF students that allows unlimited admission to the park from August 1 until May 31.
  • Student body president Chris Griffin told the Times he is working to schedule a meeting with Busch Gardens, and Varga-Sinka said officials have already met with several students about the petition.
  • Students now will have to pay $99 for a park “Fun Card,” which grants unlimited access through Dec. 31, $168 for an annual pass, or $79 for a single-day ticket.
