  • The hurricane center’s 11 a.m. advisory showed the Tampa Bay had a 30 to 40 percent chance of seeing tropical storm force winds – at least 39 miles per hour.
  • If the storm passes to the north of the Tampa Bay area as forecast, the Tampa Bay region can expect plenty of rain, in addition to storm surge from counter-clockwise winds from the south and west, said 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Bobby Deskins said.
