Parts of the Tampa Bay area will need an umbrella this morning.

Mostly cloudy skies today with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. The rain chance is 50 percent. Some areas will get beneficial rains while other areas will only get light amounts.

High temperatures will be in the low 80s.

It’s becoming breezy with a south to southwest wind 10 to 20 mph. There is a high risk of rip currents at the beaches today.

The rain will move away by this evening. The front will move across the area with decreasing clouds tonight.

It will be slightly cooler overnight with lows in the mid to upper 50s in our northern counties and the mid 60s in Tampa Bay.

This weekend will be mostly sunny and warm.

Highs will be in the low 80s near the coast and the upper 80s inland Saturday and Sunday.
