  • “Then junior year, (Perkins) came out of nowhere, doing amazingly in the 1,600 and 3,200,” Peterson said.
  • The track season, Perkins placed second in the 3,200 at state in 9:23.04 and Peterson was sixth in the 1,600 (4:32.06).
  • Just before cross country regionals last season, Perkins fractured a bone in his foot.
