Dispute leads to fatal stabbing in St. Petersburg

  • A 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed Monday night after he got in an argument with an acquaintance in St. Petersburg, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
  • Trevor Scott, of St. Petersburg, was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he later died, police said.
  • According to police, the dispute began after Thomas Ryan Peruchi, 23, drove to Trevor Scott’s home at 939½ 45th St. N to pick him up around 7 p.m.

    Peruchi stabbed Scott while seated in the car, then fled the scene after Scott was able to make it out of the car, police said.

  • While Scott was transported to the hospital, police received a medical call at 4643 5th Ave. S, where Peruchi was found with cuts on his leg, police said.
  • Peruchi was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment and was transported to Pinellas County Jail around 4 a.m.

A 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed Monday night after he got in an argument with an acquaintance in St. Petersburg, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Trevor Scott, of St. Petersburg, was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he later died, police said.

According to police, the dispute began after Thomas Ryan Peruchi, 23, drove to Trevor Scott’s home at 939½ 45th St. N to pick him up around 7 p.m.

Peruchi stabbed Scott while seated in the car, then fled the scene after Scott was able to make it out of the car, police said.

While Scott was transported to the hospital, police received a medical call at 4643 5th Ave. S, where Peruchi was found with cuts on his leg, police said.

Through their investigation, officers said they were able to link the two incidents.

Peruchi was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment and was transported to Pinellas County Jail around 4 a.m. He faces a charge of first degree murder.
