Hillsborough County partners with the following organizations to provide cold weather shelters:

Town ‘N Country

All cold weather shelters are also accepting donations, such as hats, gloves, scarves, socks, blankets, disinfectant wipes and spray, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, disposable cups, coffee, creamer, paper plates, paper towels, plastic utensils, and sugar.

PINELLAS

The cold night shelters for the homeless will be open on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8.

The shelters open between 6 and 6:30 p.m. (Peace Memorial opens at 5 p.m.), accept guests all night long, and close the following morning at approximately 6 a.m.  Shelter guests are provided a hot evening meal, a warm safe place to spend the night, and breakfast the following morning. PASCO

Cold weather shelters are opening in Pasco County this weekend as low temperatures arrive.

For families only, contact the United Way by calling 211.

HERNANDO

In Hernando County, cold weather accommodations are available at Jericho Ministries. People can arrive between 4 and 9 p.m. daily.

Sarasota County has coordinated with the Salvation Army and Faith Based Partners to provide cold weather sheltering for those in need. The following shelters will be open today:

North County

Salvation Army – Center of Hope, 1400 Tenth St., Sarasota.

The Salvation Army’s front porch opens at 4 p.m., with intake expected to begin at 6:30 p.m.; the front porch will re-open at 4:30 a.m. and remain open until 5 a.m., when the welcome center opens.
